A) Story
Lost Horizon
Sana, the former king of the human empire, passed away after an accident in a hunt. It all happened too quick and the king had not appointed a successor. The shift of power was never a simple thing. It was a dangerous process that, if not properly handled, would result in disintegration of the empire. The once strong and united kingdom would become history again, and the people of the land would enjoy a peaceful life no more. Miriam, unwilling to see the effort of her father gone in one night, stood up to lead her father's people. Her leadership was questioned by many. She did not stand a good chance to succeed in maintaining the political stability of her kingdom.
Trouble never came alone. The dark forces saw this shift of power as an opportunity not to be missed. The long prepared army lurking under the ground began to emerge. They could not afford to see the lives under the sun prosper. They could not afford to see happy life of others. Their bitter hatred was their drive to survive the torture brought upon their cursed land. They would avenge. They would destroy. They would love to have others taste the pain they had tasted, feel the hatred they had felt, and suffer the life they had suffered. The world was not all that fair for them and they would make it fair. The death of the races under the sun is their cause to fight for, their reason for being, and their justice to be done. The force of the undead was ready!
Highmen, the protectors of humans, were awakened from their dream. Having slept for centuries, they were called to take on their mission one more time. Athena, a goddess of war, assembled her force from afar. Her love for the humans pushed her to pursue a new journey. She had to travel far, together with her soldiers, an army with wings and might and power of holiness. Ships were built and creatures summoned. They would move across the ocean, wiping all resistance to assist the humans during this difficult time.
The world is big and races abound, each with its journey and each with its destiny. Each race is a book, a book to be penned with blood and tears, joy and laughters. The race where you belong will lead you to write history with your people. You have no choice and your fate is not yours to escape. Fight bravely and take your journey to its completion. Live with dignity and live with responsibility. My brothers and sisters, it's now time to depart. Good luck and best wishes.

I played the hard version solo. I've got a good hunch it would have been a more interesting game if I had played it co-op. :) But it was a lot of fun. Good fights too. I like the design of this map. If you play different sides you would have to apply different strategies. I really like the way you've dug the underground caverns, I thought they were well-designed and very interesting. |
