A good map that would make for a fun multi-player game. Worth the download.
The map is well laid-out, has a nice distribution of cities. There are comparatively alot of high-level (size 4) cities, so it would make for a fun, high-powered game.
Balance seems pretty good. I played as Elves and found that the Halflings started too close--pretty much within my territory. Other races start pretty equal.
The idea is interesting and well-implemented. But it's not explained very fully (dragons attacking... and they do attack, and some of the best days are the early ones when you're trying to figure out how to dispatch the dragons from your territory). The terrain is also pretty plain, alot of open space. Not much variety and not many doodads.
The implementation of the attacking dragons is good. The map lay out is good (a large sea in the middle, different playable races start around the edges of the map around that sea, comp controlled bad-guy race with the capture location on an island in the middle of that sea, hidden AI leader to ensure that victory comes by taking the capture location). A few interesting features and "special encounters" as you near the capture location spice things up a bit.
The story is not too much integerated into the map, other than the attacking dragons. And the fact that you must indeed capture the city controlled by AI to win is not too clearly explained.
