This neat map looks suitable for online games. The vicinity of friendly cities for each side allow for fast expansion and frenzied fighting as territories get crossed. However it looks like those who start underground may have more time to built up their forces and as it seems less crowded down there. |

Yes, Dark Elves and the Undead are quite lonely in the deeps. But on the other hand, they have less choices for expansion...
there are the locations of the 12 "countries" :
Frostbites : snow on surface and deep, in contact with humans, dwarves, halflings, and goblins.
Dwarves : mountains on surface, underground, deep. In contact with : frostbites, halflings, Undead, Dark Elves.
Halflings : grass on surface, underground. In contact with : dwarves, frostbites, elves, highmen, (gobelins), (lizardmen).
Lizardmen : isle in the middle of surface. In contact with : Elves, Halflings, Frostbites, Humans, (Azracs).
Elves : forest on the surface, underground. In contact with : halflings, lizardmen, Highmen, Azracs.
Azracs : desert on the surface, underground. In contact with : humans, elves, (highmen).
Humans : grass on the surface, underground. In contact with : frostbites, azracs, orcs.
Orcs : underground. in contact with : gobelins, humans, (frostbites).
Gobelins ; underground. In contact with : frostbites, orcs, highmen, halflings.
Highmen : underground. In contact with : elves, halflings, dark elves
Dark Elves : deep. In contact with : undead, highmen, dwarves, (elves), (halflings).
Undead : deep. In contact with : dark elves, dwarves, and a bit more far away : orcs, gobelins, humans.
hint : explore ennemies dungeons, not yours ;o)

Just little modifications :
* Azracs start now in Alexandrie, a 4 hex city, but not upgraded (unlike other 4 hex cities)
* 2 new teleporters : 1 from undead to surface, and the other from surface to the deeps.
* esthetic change for the Great Forest (elves' land)
* translation of the signs for you english spokers ;o)
