After a thousand years of peace the humans betrayed the trust of their former neighbours, the halflings, and assassinated their king to expand their territory. The other seven kingdoms decided to bring the human leader to justice at the elven high council. There, the decision to ban the Humans to a small island cluster isolated north of the mainland was made based on a suggestion made by the Highmen high priests. The highmen took upon themselves to guard the Humans and inhabited the outer islands themselves connecting them with magic teleporters. The humans never accepted their fate and begun to dig their way out from their island prison. After a while they encountered races never seen on the surface of the earth before. Evil races, who soon learned of the riches of the world above. Craving gold and mana they started raiding the surface each time killing hundreds of innocent people. Now, the other races started to question the Highmens decision as well as their authority. Seeing that the Highmen couldn´t withstand the opposition the leaders of the seven kingdoms saw an opportunity to sieze the control of the world themselves setting off a war where neighbours attacked neighbours and friends atacked friends.
||TS Standard Rules
All races are playable except Highmen. This is a pretty tough map with lots of independants and heavily defended crypts and dungeons. Enjoy!

This is the best map out there for mplay, even good for single player.

The caves are a real pain in the ass, so it keeps your leader in check for a long time. Very difficult from day1, but not impossible. Besides your human enemies you have the highmen to worry about (and trust me they get really tough.)
The only downfall is how long it takes the highmen to finish their turn. There is a map floating out there which changed the highmen down to knight instead of emp. It speeds the gameplay up alot. Hopefully Jerk doesnt mind to much that we did that =]
Old school mapmaking in its finest hour. Shows a fine streak of creativity and is excellent all around. Overall grade 4.4, fully earned. P:4 B:4 C:5 M:4 S:5

This is one of, if not the best map I've played in PBEM. I'm currently in 2 PBEM's on this map. One has passed day 60 and the winner is still not decided.

I like the way it's made with totally different starting positions but still very balanced. And the underground is really interessting even without terrain inversion.
This is a great map especially for pbem.

It has some nice suprises and you won´t have to wait long before you find at least one enemy.

You play and play and play!!
What can I say.
Whether against man or Ai
The fun I cannot deny
Each side is certainly fair
Though at first glance its not quite square
But like 'Rely upon Thy Strength'
The balance evens out at length
To create what I mention above
is truly a labour of love
Map Design: 5
Tunnels intricate and dire
Each race in trouble is mired
The design is tested and true
Perfected to a marvelous hue
The story not long, boring or thick
Moves us to play relatively Quick
Great Map by a master!!

Awesome map, one of my favourites by far! To me its a 5 for the first few hours of playing, but I find the underground tedious and usually restart the map eventualy lol
I like the challenge of being an oppressed race and working your way out of it against the super op highmen
I like the concept of the map
Map Design: 4
Pretty good map design/look
Again, one of my favourites
Definitely my favourite user-made map other than my own. Absolute masterpiece, the only downfall is that the AI takes such a long time to end their turn even on modern operating systems lol. Oh well, still great.

Playing it SP as the Humans, this map was much easier than I had thought based on the reviews, thanks partly to the two first items I found were assassin gear (dagger with Extra Attack and Poison, and a cloak with Invisibility and Climb Walls.

I defeated the Highmen on turn 24, and the Dwarves some turns before that.
Map looks nice and strategic, and was enjoyable to play, but since I didn't finish it I won't rate it.
