Playable races:(8) Orcs, Dwarves,Dark-Elves, Goblins,High-Men, Undead,Frostlings, Humans. Easiest to hardest. This
is a hard map for experienced players. Many roving bands of vicious independents and well defended cities fill the landscape.
This is an excellent map that I would rate as one of the classics -- up there with Jason's 'Reign of Terror' and 'Coming of the Dread Lord'. It can be very difficult with all of the wandering monsters, but patient expansion will pay off with the discovery of a highly rewarding adventure. You'll explore a highly artistic and detailed map that is both beautiful to look at and fun to explore. Geometric patterns of inverted terrain create breathtaking tapestries in the caverns. And throughout the map you will meet many interesting custom heroes, each with his own unique story and horde of unique and powerful artifacts.
The only possible issue with this map is balance for multiplayer games. However, I don't consider it a problem as long as the person setting up the game is aware of which races are stronger and which are weaker. And in fact the balance issue can allow for a fair game between intermediate and expert players.
Still, it's one of the best maps I've played -- highly recommended!

The action starts from the very beginning. As with Conquest of Zanid, do not wander in the countryside carelessly. It's a hard map, but it's not impossible, which just adds to the satisfaction when you finally gain the upperhand and beat this scenario. Leaders off is also recommended.
