I know griffith has units that are level 5, 6 and so on that cost over 15 gpt.(how is that done and how high can you get?)

Is it possible to set nonhero units to cost nothing per turn? Or cost 3gpt? To make a unit give no experience when destroyed? To make units more true level 0?

On the other side of this.. is it possible to make a hero require maintenance?(either gold or mana) Is it possible to change the virtual level of a hero for effects such as mighty meek, for experience given when destroyed and so forth?

Pawel has made a program that can be used to change a units level, and thus change the upkeep. I think there is a link to that program in his sig.

It is possible to make a lvl 0 unit with that program. It will have 3 upkeep, but it can't gain experience. And I think there are also some problems when that unit is placed on a map.

I have no idea about the heroes, but I think the answer is no.

The level 0 units, does it give no experience when destroyed as well? What problems? Do these problems also apply to when the units are recruited from structures, cities, quests, appear as indies and so forth?

Whats the name of this program?

Unit that have levels other than 1-4 don't show up in the editor, so they can't be placed on maps. If placed before changing their levels, they remain on maps.

The maximum unit upkeep is 255, so you shouldn't make the level so high that the upkeep (with Bureaucracy) is greater than 255. It means that the maximum level for non-summoned units is 63.

About level 0 units:

1. They get a gold medal immediately after they are produced
2. They don't give any XP for killing
3. They always cost 3 to upkeep, regardless of Survivalist/Bureaucracy

AFAIK they don't cause any problems with the game, but they can cause problems with my program. If it can't open the UNITRES.PFS file, you should change their level back to 1 in the editor and save the resources. Then you should be able to open the file in my program again.

NA2 has units recruitable from cities & structures higher then level 4. How is that done if they dont appear in editor? Can that be done with level 0's?

It's "Unit Editor".

They don't appear in editor only when editing maps. They appear when editing things like race production lists.
