Sorry, guys.
I´m quite sure the answer is obvious and out there - but I´ve been trying and reading the forums for some 3 hours now an am no closer.
Wanting to use what this great community has to off I downloaded a bunch of AoW:SM Custom scenarios from this site.
Also gut the unofficial patch 1.4 installed
But how the s**** do I get the game to run them?
How do I manage the step from "yeah, got the file, copied ist into AoW:SM/Scenario/UserCampaign, unzipped it there"
to the playing?
All I get in the game is the file structure of the given scenario-campaign settings, but nothing is clickable, respectively starts the game.
I´m getting kinda frustrated here and woul really appreciate somebody helping me dummy out.
thanx in advance!

I can't be quite sure just what your problem is; but I do have a couple of suspected causes...
One common error is matching the correct file extension to the correct game...
AOW:SM and AOW2:WT use the scenario file extension of '.ahm'.
AOW uses the scenario file extension of '.hsm'.
...these scenario file extensions are not interchangeable.
Another possible problem with 'seeing things in game' might be the fault of the operating system you are using.
I know that in Windows 7 the saved games are not loadable ingame unless you enable some switch (I can't remember the exact details) or unless you run the game as administrator. I assume that Windows 8 might also have these issues.
The .AHM custom scenarios do belong in the Age of Wonders Shadow Magic/scenario/custom folder!
Good luck!
