is it somehow possible to port or copy the TWT campaign to SM as custom campaign or something? I own both games so I have the map files. I read that AoW:SM was supposed to be an addon to AoW2:TWT so there is likely some compatiblity I guess. It would be cool to play the campaign with the improvements Shadow Magic brought.
Thanks for your time

This question has come up before several times. See here
Short answer: no.
Longer answer: The campaign data formats are different, enough so that the AoW2 map files cannot even be opened in the SM editor. The question came up even before AoW:SM was released in discussions with Josh AoW, who indicated that they would not be compatible due to the differences in how branching was down, the lack of a single main character in SM, and other changes. IIRC RayB made some mention of possibly converting single maps though not the structure as a whole, but AFAIK none were ever released.

it is very possible to play twt camapign maps in sm. you just need to copy the maps in the aow sm campaign folder and rename the sphere you want to play to "julia1", "julia2" and "julia3". then you start aow sm and go to campaign and select the first mission of julia. you will notice that you start as merlin with no magic spheres allocated. simply "customize" your wizard to all fire if you want to play the fire missions for example and you are good to go. once you finished the first mission, select the second mission of julia and you can continue with your heroes and everything.
if my explainations are not clear enough I made a video showing how to do it. it is in german but I think you can still see what to do without any sound.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7brhs0zZzzc&list=PLsvW3X6BWew8Pk0_U_1zTIM7Yvl7IWh8z&index=33

Chow is right (as always). Fun fact: we were planning a campaign editor with v14 but it proved too much work. Possible, but very tough...
