Hey guys, I've recently got into collecting official strategy guide books (eg Prima, Brady etc) for my all time favourite games. Naturally it wasn't long before I thought of AoW haha. I recently got my hands on the AoW 1 and AoW 2 Wizards Throne guide books but can't seem to find any trace of a AoW Shadow Magic one. Does anyone here know if one was actually ever made?

- Total Conversion mods: QFG Hexen, Star Trek Doom, & Star Wars Civilization 2

I have Wizard's Throne manual and AoW1 manual, but not Shadow Magic.

I am not sure whether one was produced or not, however. Sorry.

Nah not the manual mate, I have all the AoW manuals (including a printed SM one) as they came with the games when I originally bought them.

I mean an strategy guide created by a third party organisation (eg Prima or Brady Games) under an official license from the games publisher.

Basically its an official walkthrough with lots of pretty pictures. I've really got into collecting them lately!

It's looking like one was never made for SM sadly.

It was essentially a tarted up version of the previous game, so that's probably why.

I'm a big fan of guides for my favorite games too, but while living on the other side of the globe and not being a millionaire I'm bounded to use electronic variants mainly.

Alas there's no AoW guides scans around the Net still.

As far as I know, there was no official strategy guide book released for Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic. The game was released in 2003, which was around the time when strategy guide books were becoming less popular due to the rise of online resources like forums and wikis.

However, there are still some online resources available that could be helpful for playing the game. The Age of Wonders wiki, for example, has a wealth of information on gameplay mechanics, units, spells, and more. There are also several fan-made guides and walkthroughs available on various websites and forums.

If you're looking for a physical strategy guide book to add to your collection, unfortunately it seems that one was never produced for Shadow Magic.
