The answer may already be out there and I don't see it, but I am looking to download the 1.4 patch. I have the game via STEAM and don't know what to do, I got to the window having me look for the game on my computer and got stuck there. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you

Please note that although this thread has been posted in the AoW2 section of the forum, it is actually talking about Shadow Magic and not AoW2.

If you are trying to patch Shadow Magic to UPatch 1.4 then you want to install into /Program Files/Age of Wonders Shadow Magic, assuming that you have the standard installation.

As I mentioned in my earlier post, my ignorance apparently knows no bounds. Perhaps you could steer me in the right direction for the proper posting location. I am most interested in getting the patch to download. I have the game via STEAM, so no CD and can't locate the program files for it. Thanks in advance for your help.

UPatch 1.4 is here, sorry I thought that you had it but couldn't install it.

To find out where the files are you can look in your registry by using regedit.exe;

Browse to this location;
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Valve\Steam

Look at the String value named "SteamPath"
It's value may be something like "c:/games/steam"

If this is so Shadow Magic will be in;
"C:\Games\Steam\SteamApps\common\age of wonders shadow magic"
