Name of Map:Magic Rules
Rating (marks out of 10): 7
Things that I liked:Interesting heroes and items.
Things that I disliked:Sea serpents ate the initial allocated dragon ships right away, so there doesn’t seem to be any way to keep them alive. Better to put in a shipyard or just let people build the shipyards. Boring standard heroes were not replaced, so I ended up with two Lillys. Some of the towns seem to be misnamed. Unfair disadvantage for humans & dark elves not being able to build flier/swimmer/floater/climber.

Name of Map:Tribulation
Rating (marks out of 10): 8
Things that I liked:Interesting terrain and setup. I like the way the mapmaker applied various tricks to form a PBEM map that has a certain style of play to it, different from the usual.
Things that I disliked:Leaders not named. Boring old items and heroes. Too many items, they make a mess all over the map. Fliers way too strong. I hate altars in general so this map kind of pisses me off. :-) Basically impossible to defeat the highmen, but I suppose it’s designed that way.

Name of Map:In the Middle of Nowhere
Rating (marks out of 10): 5
Things that I liked:Terrain was nicely designed. Original heroes and items.
Things that I disliked:True to the story, there is nothing much to do here. Too much distance between not enough resources. Play is anti-climactic.

Name of Map:Heart of Devil
Rating (marks out of 10): 5
Things that I liked:Challenging map.
Things that I disliked:Leaders not named. Boring standard items and heroes. Map is not balanced between the three “good” races, which things being much tougher for the humans. Map is too hard for me playing as the humans.

Name of Map:Northern Valley
Rating (marks out of 10): 7
Things that I liked:Nice map designed to be played one-on-one and very much in the small map tradition.
Things that I disliked:Terrain could be more visually interesting. Leaders are not named. Boring standard heroes and items. Not much “story,” although that is traditionally less important for multiplayer maps.

Name of Map:Divine Chess
Rating (marks out of 10): 9
Things that I liked:Original idea. Interesting terrain, different story and setup than usual, original heroes and items.
Things that I disliked:Races were placed a little too close together for me, and a lot is crammed in here. Feel is more of a medium map than a small map.

Name of Map:Red Moon, Blue Moon
Rating (marks out of 10): 3
Things that I liked:Original idea, which makes game play different than usual. Terrain is interesting, original heroes and items.
Things that I disliked:Map is too hard for me. Humans have way too many units. Inverted terrain causes map errors and crashes, making map unplayable past day 20 on my machine.
