I am also in favor of WL; once I register with WL that is.

Yes, emails have been sent out to a few folks asking about their games. A couple of mine are slow too.

Agree completely with Eriksson.
Only one of my games is going at a reasonable rate. Faulty email addresses may be the cause. Perhaps everyone should either post their most current Email address in the turn logs or email those in the grouping with the correct information.
I shall do my games now.

Excellent points made above. A little nudge would be helpful to find out for sure where the turns are stuck (and yes, I can't track them all and appreciate the help greatly). I will add this bit of info...
Emailed Talic earlier this week but no response, I do know his computer died (or something like that) and he was trying to get it fixed. I'm willing to restart those games with him with a sub or with just 3 players if that's what we need to do.
Thorongil was going to get stuff sent out Wed or Thurs (got an email from him about it). It's Thursday so hopefully we'll see something soon. Thorongil does not have good interent access right now so he cannot post or check out the website regularly, just email so he would need an email nudge.
CSH - don't know.
Anyways I'm open to more suggestions and too would like to see things moving faster.

I must confess that I am losing patience with a few of the games, and I do not believe this tournament has any chance of completing unless some steps are taken to help move the games alomg. With this belief in mind I request that an absenteeism rule be established. In particular I request that any absenteeism of more than 7 days without notification be subject to the players turn being played by proxy. (We should be able to get proxy volunteers from other games.)
An absenteeism of more than 15 days (without notice) should be sanctioned by disqualification. The players game should be finished by a proxy as noted above.
I also suggest that even in the case of a informed absence that the player be responsible for appointiung a suitable substitute for an absense of 7 days or longer.
I volunteer as proxy/substitute for any game I am not involved in.

Due to *crippling* domestic pressures, I will happily surrender my place in the tourney.
*waves to Sir Wulf*
Oh and... I tried to re play and resend but I have no new mail in my inbox. Perhaps Codius has it.

Gosh I'm sorry to hear about your troubles TheMak3. I certainly have hade times when the homefire needed tending. I will try to let the players in each of your games know of your situation and inform them that Sir Wulf will be your proxy.
When you are ready to play again I'm sure there will be no problem to reinstate you. God Bless and may the domestic situation be settled in a satisfactory manner.
(P.S. Thanks for coming forward and letting us know you needed a proxy.)
