A Naga has the body of a snake and the torso and head of a woman. A hydra is a multi-headed monster, generally with serpentine heads. The body may be snake-like but more often has a massive torso (to support the heads) and limbs like a dragon. Both are common fanasy creatures in games. Both for example occur as units in HoMM III.
