how many signatures would it take to make this happen?

People follow the light, blinded by just cause, but what has the light brought them? It has only caused me pain, while the darkness embraced me and kept me deep within its shadows away from my pursuers and made them suffer for their crimes against me

Age of Wonders IV? We haven't had III yet!

I don't think it's a question of signatures. I think it's a question of whether the team Triumph wants to do it or not. We also know that they want to continue AoW, but right now they're busy with Overlord which they also are fond of.

AoWSM is not AoW3; it is an expansion of AoW2, using the same engine, the same graphics, the same mechanics, and the same concepts. Consider the differences between AoW2 (or SM) and AoW1. AoW3 will be as different from AoW2 as AoW2 is from AoW1. Ditto for AoW4, if it ever happens.

AOW2: SM was a standalone expansion to AOW2, not a new game. Naming it such would have been misleading and bad PR for the company. People aren't always the most informed or intelligent of consumers, especially when it comes to PC games. The number of people who bought TESIV: Oblivion while having integrated graphics cards is insanely high.
