There's a work around to overcome the giant corpses left by units with scale<
1.

1. Add a resized corpse graphics to your ilb file.
2. Copy and paste animation sequence above current dying animation
3. Change in sequence 0 last sprite to resized one.
Fortunately the engine puts on the ground only sprite from sequence 0, while sprite of 1 is drawn above 0, so you see almost no glitches during the process.
