Yup, it's out. Check http://www.ageofwonders.com / for the link. Currently only the US patch is available, but the European version is done, so will hopefully be posted soon. The Polish version will require a seperate patch, which will be released in the near future...

Any issues that were missed in the patch, feel free to post about again. Some may have slipped under the radar, and a few were mentioned after this patch had already been completed.

About Polish patch:
Josh, have you any idea when this near future might be (asking because the game is currently competing with my MSc thesis for CPU usage/time allotted ). Would be glad to know if it is days, weeks, months...

5 shots per tower guard + increased siege wall ai rends the tower guard upgrade invain, imho. wether the tower guards shot becomes stronger or leave unlimited and make it do less damage.

Yes please make tower gaurd stronger if it is only getting 5 shots.. that is a good number for the beginning of a game, but by middle when you are seening 12-16 unit armies, it will do practically nothing.. honestly I think it was fine the way it was - I mean, who the heck would really spend an hour running a glade runner around waiting for the TG to kill all their attackers??? Whoever it is, they have too much time on thier hands.

-Extra “Beginners” Campaign Difficulty added.

-Surrender added to Options Menu

-Objectives added to Options Menu

[Fixes]

-Crop Fields regrow after casting spells like “Evil Woods” and “Poison Woods”.

-Ability levels from higher unit ranks no longer reset when loading a saved game.

-Swapping Artifacts now updates Unit Statistics immediately.

-Charge Info Incorrectly listed +2 ATT instead of +2 DAM

-A rare AI lockup and Spirit crash

-The “C” Center Location and “H” next Hero shortcuts now work.

-Machines now join on their own.

-“Call/Resurrect Hero” now checks max heroes setting

-Casting “Poison Plants” no longer erases bridges.

-“Static Shield” now correctly gives Lightning Strike.

i wonder what happend to the minor bug that in elven-city-buy menues the upkeep costs of the units have a mana icon (in the right top corner of the screen, the more verbose info-view for creatures) instead of a gold icon.
(i think i encountered the bug with an other race too, but i cant quite remember which).

Beren V, what are you talking about ? In AoW1 ALL ranged attacks are already affected by Marksmanship...

IIRC Marksmanship already can affect the magical/breath ranged attacks. It is very easy to add to the units. I have done this (to magic/frost/etc. bolt units and dragons) for gameplay benefit of myself and friends (silver and gold medal levels). You need only use devedit to enable developer options, and change the release.hss file...

Can mail you the file if you like. It's ca 1 MB unpacked...
The infos should be in either this or Unitres.pfs (another much smaller one) .

Maybe I am drunk, but what does US-version mean.. English language version? Are there different Versions for US-English and EU-English?

The EU version has words like "Armour" while the US version has "Armor". Also, in the US version, the Leprechaun doesn't have a "Bagpipe" attack...

Just tried it out. There are changes not mentioned above. Some I've noticed:

Draconian flyer costs 160 gold
Haste costs 15 to cast/ 5 upkeep
Healing costs 15 to cast
Druids have increased cost of 120 gold, but entangle still has an attack of 15

The map Centralaeon is adjusted (and improved); there are probably other map adjustments as well.

I don't think the "last minute changes" that Damon Rellik has posted are from the patch, because they are also in my readme file and I have not patched my game yet (I don't have the US version).

Josh, this may sound like a stupid question but it isn't apparent on the box: did Australia get the US version or the UK version?

Urgh... scrap that...it's on the CD case "Product of the UK". Guess that tells nme in fairly plain language. *hits forehead*

Only the US got the US version. Everyplace else other versions.

And if the patch download was unsuccessful, you'll probably be missing more than one file. It is strongly suggested to re-download, or use a download manager.

anyone sure yet if entangle is 12 or 15??

and just curious, why did stoning get stronger and death ray weaker? Stoning already was pretty powerful

I'm more than a little disapointed that if the Euro patch is done, it can't be posted on the server. I wish we could just have an English Patch, Spanish patch, etc. Who really cares how Armour/Armor is spelt (although Armour IS the correct spelling, if you're going to use the word English for your language, then write it like we do :P)

Guess we will just have to wait until it's available

Swolte, Kris is correct; those changes cited above are not from the patch but from the manual addendum that came with the game. Not sure why they're up there; they should be edited out.

I used druids after installing the patch, and it said they still had an attack of 15 for entangle.
