I want to start a campaign using the overall setting development and mechanics described in this thread, with the PCs building up a movement of heroes and adventurers trying to solve a large number of conflicts brought about by the rise of evil. The players will make starting PCs who will found their group, recruit members, choose what quests to undertake in order to address which conflicts, and otherwise plan their fight against evil strategically as well as tactically. In this sense it will be somewhat like Lighthawk's Faerūn Colonists game, although much smaller in scale in that the players are effectively managing an adventuring company rather than a series of countries (and, in addition, quests can be made on the fly as PCs choose them, which will reduce my workload as well). The rules will be modified from those in the thread that I've been making, both as far as recruiting members is concerned as well as how destiny works.
This game I intend to be a prequel to the Quest for the Wind, which I also intend to restart. Ideally, I'd like to see this new game set the Quest for the Wind into motion when we get to that point. The same may eventually happen to the Jade Warrior as well. I intend to run both games simultaneously, however, as I know we want to continue QftW and not wait for it!
This game would begin with all of the starting PCs being 3rd-level. They would be classified as co-Founders and as Peers for the purposes of the rules.
Questions
1. Who's interested?
2. Should we begin this new game in Mythweavers to attract more players?
