Hello all, I just started playing the game, and thought someone could help with a few "newbie" questions .... Thank you in advance!
(1) I can't figure out what Nodes actually do. Can someone explain their purpose / function?
(2) Regarding my wizard's "domain": Am I correct that my wizard's domain can "overlap" with the domain of an enemy wizard (i.e., that a given hex of territory can be within my domain as well as within the domain of another wizard)? I ask because it seems to me that often an enemy wizard is able to cast a hostile spell on my units despite the fact that they are within my own domain (or even within one of my own castles). To the extent this is correct, is there any way to "push back" the domain of an enemy Wizard so that he/she cannot cast spells directly onto my territory / cities?
(3) Am I also correct that some hexes of territory are exempt from any wizard's domain? I ask because it seems that my domain often "wraps around" certain types of territory (particularly certain rocky areas surrounding unclaimed Nodes) rather than encompassing such territory.
(4) Is it useful to have Pioneers build new outposts? In games such as Civilization I am used to that sort of approach (having settlers build new cities) being the entire basis for expansion of one's territory, but wasn't sure to what extent that was suitable in this game.
(5) I noticed that within my cities there is an option to build a certain structure, connected with my wizard's tower, that provides my city with the "basic enchantment" of my wizard's magic, yet there is no explanation of what this "basic enchantment" is or how to turn it on once the structure is built. I was hoping someone could provide a sense of what this is about?
Hope this wasn't too many beginner questions. Thank you so much again!
