This map is the latest of countless I've been experimenting with. This is an interesting map for me in that it uses islands and a lot of water on the surface level, which I had never done before... it certainly made textures a lot easier for an extra large map. All the races were made equal considering their relations, leader levels, troops, accessibility, resources and all that, even though they all appear to be quite different in the beginning. Allied victory is meant to be on for this match, though it is not necessary. I also suggest for the sake of equality that the leaders are left uncustomized, or at least their magic spheres. I've never submitted a map before so I'm not sure if it's going to include the custom item set I designed for it, or the custom heroes, don't worry, it's all been tested and there's nothing rigged at all. There are only seven heroes, each of which are placed on the map and can be allied by their respective races, so watch for yours. Anyways, that's all, so hope you enjoy it! |

Playability: 4
Good fun. The races eventually crash in the isle of Talus. Its a real rush to grab everything!
Balance: 3
The races in the bottom take a long time to materialise. The alliance of Humans + Azracs was a little unecessary, as they dominate Talus and would be more fun to see them scrap then reconcile.

One of the few maps of this type. I can see where you were coming from with your earlier argument. Teleports were fun and city names were good too!
Map Design: 5
Talus is beautiful.
Story/Instructions: 4
A motherlode of information. The objective was simple but very suitable; conquer Talus!
Additional Comments: A+ work!
Your a great, fresh map maker! Keep it up!

Yeah it's playable and attractive. A bit easy with the AI. Even when set on CPU Emperor and Expander they dont really pose a threat. At least, not when you play the lizards.

There are a few overpowered races at start. Ive played it with Lizards, Humans and, of course, my favourites, Dark Elves. The sea serpents around the lizard starting position arent really a threat. You can hop to the nearby small island, from there to Talus island and it's done. You have 2 turtle catapults and 5 frog riders, not to mention your leader. The alliance between humans and azracs is a bit unnecessary also.

It's been a long time since I've played a 'capture location' type map. The design is good, gives the feeling that you're playing somewhere in the southern hemisphere of the world; sands at the north and ice at the south. A few more islands around the lizard starting position to stop them from rushing and a few more things to stop the human and azrac expansion would make it perfect. Also you took out tunneling through cavern walls. And i really like those :p it rocks in player vs player.

It's good, the island design is fine and so is the underground. Well the part that's done and isnt just solid rock.

It's a good story for a multiplayer map. Even if i was sort of looking for an explination on why the Elves were hiding in the underground.
Additional Comments:
I can really see this map work in a mass pvp.[Edited on 07/07/07 @ 03:14 AM]
