This TS136 map can be played with up to four players, but is also fun as a single-player map. Playable races are Azracs, Dark Elves, Frostlings or Halflings. Here's the story:

Every now and again the gods would set a challenge for the people of the shire, as a form of light entertainment for amusing the gods. This time the gods had decided to create a maze. It was leading ever upwards towards a land of milk and honey, but the really juicy bits would involve climbing up to the surface and then going back underground again. No tower forts underground meant poor visibility, and there were walls of rock everywhere. There will be many challenges along the way, but the rewards will be great...

The Dark Elf leader Cranium is in his element underground, preferring to ambush the other races rather than head for the the light of the surface. He refers back to their respected elder Shadows Oasis and his timeless quote: "People follow the light, blinded by just cause, but what has the light brought them? It has only caused me pain, while the darkness embraced me and kept me, deep within its shadows away from my pursuers, and made them suffer for their crimes against me"

Frostlings and Azracs are happy to do whatever it takes when there are gold and mana to be had, so they were happy to head up towards the light. The Azrac leader Brains and the Frostling leader Einstein had the same motto: "if you aren't in, you can't win." And the Hobbits? They just thought that if they could get there before the other races, there would be as much food and drink as they could consume for the rest of their lives. That is a very tempting proposition for any Hobbit, as they will always happily spend hours explaining to you. Hobbits LOVE talking about food. In fact talking about food is as popular with Hobbits as talking about their various ailments and operations is with little old ladies! The Hobbit leader, Sharpasarazor, certainly couldn't resist the promise of a land of milk and honey!

So Frostlings, Azracs, Halflings and Dark Elves have all sent their greatest tacticians to this location, in an effort to accomplish this a-MAZE-ing quest, to gain favour in the eyes of the gods, and above all TO WIN!!! Of course, everybody knows, when you find that elusive pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, there will be a leprechaun (or two) guarding it
