Took me long enough, well here it is. A bigger better more insane version of War of the Magics 1.5. I am willing to bet a copy of AoW2 that you have never played any map like it, not only is it beautiful but it is original.
-all races except Highmen, Undead and Lizardmen (the highmen and undead are unselectable races due to them being half the insaneness)
-Each race has their own island homeland that comes with a unique defense mechanism and two ships
-Two Highmen/Undead uber wizards in the middle to cause magical chaos.
-Each race gets a significant starting magic income and a very large bonus for keeping to their element given.
-Each race gets a Spell Casting 5 hero who has no combat skills whatsoever, and a Spell Casting 2 priest like war hero with nice combat abilities to represent that races elemental aligntment.
-Each race has the option of choosing extra cash or resurect hero spell in the beggining.
-No four hex cities.
-You will be forced to utitilize every unit for all its worth.
-Money is tight, assuring that the gameplay will be fast and aggresive, trying to snag the most towns.
-Refreshing and challenging tactical situations.
-Insane amounts of global spells flying back and forth.
-Fast and furious multiplayer, great for hotseat and IP alike.
This one is a fun map. However, there are some balancing aspects that badly need to be addressed. The frostlings are extremely powerful with their spell Freeze Water. They can quickily incapicitate the dark elves and humans, effectivily knocking them out of the game. The mapmaker I can tell really tried hard to balance this one, but since this one is a 9 player map of mayhem balancing needs to be at the top and there is still room for some improvement. I recommend the map if you are going to play a large game of multi-player. Just be careful with the frostlings Freeze Water ability and I think everything will be just fine. :) A wonderful effort and a great tribute to the variety of maps you can play.
