My 12 year old daughter made this one. She spends more time on the editor than she does playing. I helped very little. Just some suggestions. I don't have the patience she does. I keep trying to get her on the forum, maybe some comments from the crowd will get her to show up.
Anyway, the map is balanced for mp so it is pretty easy for single play. |

This map is brilliant, and definitely worth dowloading either for single-player or multi-player games |

Playability: This map is fun to play . Lots of things to do.
Balance: The Humans start out with a 4-hexer. The Elves could easily run up there and grab it real fast in the beginning...which could offer an unfair advantage for either race early in the game. The rest of the races are fairly balanced...although some races have better transportation capabilities than others...
Creativity: I found some very nifty little things...I especially liked the poem in the underground trap area. The cities could have been thought up better...yet still have their own little simple charm to them.
Map Design: This map is simply gorgeous. I thought the top was interesting...but it wasn't until I looked at the underground that I said, "Woa, neat-o" The underground is very nicely done and is the true jewel of this map.
Story/Instructions: The story was cute but not very attention grasping...It could have been better. A few minor errors. Lots of pop-ups to look at...that's always fun...
I've heard good things about this map but not until I checked it out for myself did I realize how awesome it was. Way2go! --<@ |

Excellent piece of work. :)
The balance in this map is good and makes this map suitable for multiplay. Very nice work with the terrain as well. Story on the average, with a good background, but this map is well designed and action occupies the player. Enemies spread out well, and that makes this map very fun to play on.

I played a lot of single and multi players and the whole campaigns (good and evil) and truly this one is in the best I played.
We played it with my wife and had a LOT OF FUN.
It's highly creative, with tons of things to discover and to do. And Multi-Level is perfectly used.
One last comment, just for the record, my wife played Halflings and I played first Elves... and died around 35 days by taking too high a risk with a small leveled Heroe (ridiculous me !). Then we kept going while I took the Lizards and surprisingly we finally had to face the Human who was our so-called ally :-)) since all the evils were already dead. And it's been a very long fight over 40 rounds to catch him.
Again many action, LOT OF FUN, I am now sending the link to all my friends.
CONGRATS to this 12 years old daughter of yours ;-) |

I played as the Humans, with all races set to CPU Emperor - Aggressor. Leaders on, customize, allied victory on, and explore on.
I realize the author was only 12-years old at the time, but the map is good enough to have been submitted and played, so I'm going to critique it like any other. ;-)
Playability: 3
There are a lot of options I guess, so you could get different experiences by playing different races. There is a good bit of variety.
Balance: 2
The balance seems way off to me. The Humans start much stronger than any other race (2 4-hex towns!), and their leader starts with First Strike and Lightning Strike! Granted, all of the races' leaders are beefed up, but still, FS and LS? FS seems to me like something that every leader should get, or none; it's that powerful. The Lizards have a terrible start position and are weak in units, and they're threatened immediately by the Undead who have a great location and friendly cities nearby. The Humans were able to rush down early and take out the Elves with ease.
Also, there were WAY too many resources. I was making over 600 gold a turn by turn six. I finished the game with around 10k in gold. I used my plethora of mana to abuse altars and killed 2 AI leaders that way.
Creativity: 3
The names of cities were obviously names of people, but that's not too big of a deal. Good effort was placed in customizing the leaders. The caverns were very impressive. I generally hate mucking around underground, but this is the first map where I've enjoyed it.
Map Design: 2
The landmasses on the map were pretty well spaced and laid out, but the resources and cities on them seemed, well, haphazard. The author may have gone a little too crazy plopping those down, especially with the resources.
Story/Instructions: 3
Storyline was bare-bones, but not bad. Proof-reading it is advised.
Additional Comments:
One thing that I REALLY liked was the use of cavern walls on the surface. Maybe that's been done before, but I've never seen it. I like how it actually prevents flyers from getting by. The author surrounded a 4-hex town on the surface with these walls, so your only access was by water or tunneling. Nice!
