The halflings of Emertoss have been living quite isolated from other races in this world.
The only real contact is with the dwarves to the east who have been helping them with
mining knowledge in the Emertoss mines. Some of the halfings who have visited the dwarven empire
have also met the Melorion elves that have good contacts with the dwarves.
The highmen don't really own any land in this part of the world,
but seeing themselves as the force of law and order they are present even here,
trying to stop any actions of crime or war. Evil races in the form of orcs,
goblins and dark elves have always been present in the world too,
even if most halflings have never seen any of them...until the last couple of days.
Now, the halflings are very aware of the orcs.
It's not known why they suddenly came over the mountains up north to attack the peaceful halflings.
Maybe it's because their war with the goblins ended and they can't find enough food,
now that fewer orcs are getting killed.
At least it seems strange that the goblins in the underground attacked the halfling mines
only a couple of days after the orcs' attack.
As if this was not enough it's now less than 2 months left till the prophecy of doom is supposed
to happen. Not that anyone believes in a prophecy but this one has been right about things in the past.
The halflings, as a peaceful people, were very much taken by surprise and things look terrible for them.
Jirben Beanbuck, the halfling leader, has travelled to the dwarves to ask for help
while his wife Salina tries to organize some sort of defence at home in Emertoss.

This is a small single player map made for the Mapmaking competition at AoW Heaven.
Any comments or ratings for the map would be most welcome thanx :O)
This map could have been great! Why do so many of you make a map difficult byt giving the enemy races a ton of resources, instead of giving them a ton of smarts. As it is the map is just to tough for anyone but the Uber-players.
If you are an Uber player you would probably rate this map way higher.

This is a very good small map. I found it very challenging for a lot of turns. I think it is impossible to win this map in automatic combat mode (my suggestion is to play careful tactical mode).
