The highmen established a fortified town, Kolusurt Keep, in the caldera of a dormant volcano to guard its magical power. Jealous of the power there, Lizardman shamans tunnelled through the surrounding earth and used their magic to cause an eruption, throwing the Highman garrison into disarray and seizing the magic of Kolusurt for themselves. Some Highmen were enslaved by the lizardmen while others retreated to smaller redoubts in the area. The Halflings to the south and the Humans saw an opportunity to impose their rule on the area. Besides the arcane power there, Kolusurt also lay astride a trade route between the human Vunchume Cities of the north and the halfling lands of the south.

10th Feb 2020 - updated some minor issues and set all diplomacy to start hostile.
23rd Feb 2020 - removed many walls, changed the prison guards and prisoners to be less strong, and reduced the guards on many structures.
2nd March 2020 - rejigged the map a fair bit. The underground routes are now a little shorter and have less heavy rock slowing down movement, as well as some extra rewards (a couple mines and more). The castle ruins next to the lava on the bottom level now has a very unique and powerful item guarded by an Angel. Instead of a death altar, the caldera now has two lizardman-controlled fire altars, and the pestilence altar was moved north a couple hexes. The lizardman starting cities no longer have Basilisks set to guard them, but they have a greater number of ordinary starting troops. The prisons now release a paladin and an avenger, instead of two avengers. A wide variety of minor changes have been made.
