Southern's Sword and Sorcery Mod
To install, simply over-write your Release folder with the contents of the Release - Sword and Sorcery folder. To uninstall and revert to 1.36, simply do the reverse - be sure to have backup copies of both!

Archers have been blanket nerfed and swordsmen have been blanket buffed, a change which is squarely aimed at PBEM games where archer spam is too prevalent.
The three types of priest - the Priest, the Cleric, and the Shaman - have been made more distinct from each other.
Every underpowered unit has been given significant buffs, and many other units have been given thematic additions. No new units have been added, however.
Some blanket racial changes have been made; as just one example, many races now gain specific terrain concealment at Gold medal - Snow Concealment for Frostlings, Desert for Azracs, Water for Lizardmen, etc.
Elephants have not been changed in themselves, but they have been slot-switched with the Scorpion, and therefore require installation.
The previously weakest unit in the game, the Lizardman Giant Slug, went from 5 to 12 HP and gained several abilities.
Most spells have had their mana costs massively reduced, especially Fire spells and battle damage spells, but also including elemental and dragon summons, which are now a very important lategame goal.
Many more skills have been made available to heroes at both leader creation and levelup, including very strong abilities like Swimming, First Strike, and so on. Even Flying is available, but it costs 100 points.

04/07/2019 - Archer nerf softened, goblins granted Poison Immunity as a racial trait plus Ug concealment at gold

30/07/2019 - another round of spellcost reductions
03/12/2019 - a big rework of the mod, including a new unit, the Iron Dragon - available at the Builders' Guild. It is a somewhat silly unit.
06/12/2019 - tweaks to tone some things down in response to criticism on the GoG forum
09/12/2019 - a mild revamp of the ability levelup costs. Additionally, warships were made a bit weaker, since they are now faster to build.
10th feb 2020 - across the board RES reduction for all units. This is to make special touch attacks such as Charm more likely to land.
10th April 2020 - Spell research costs reduced a great deal, specifically at tier 3 and 4. Some unused SFX were also re-added to the game for certain locations.
25th May 2020 - Reworked all dungeon/prison guards and prisoners, removed the 'Iron Dragon' joke unit, made some minor unit adjustments.
