EDIT: Download my map "Cults and Keepers" instead. It is my favourite project I've released, in which I've put the most time by far.
||TS Standard Rules
This is a well-balanced (but fairly symmetrical) map for the experienced player.
**This map is intended to be played with my "Inioch's Rebalance" ruleset, due to map starting unit balance, rebalanced ship statistics/costs, and my mod puts all 12 'Wizards' (level 3 mages specific to each race) into the game at spawn. So although I HIGHLY RECOMMEND playing with my ruleset, the map will STILL WORK WITHOUT IT. It just won't be balanced the way it was intended to be.**
Everything about this map revolves around balance, from starting points on map, distances to resources, friendly/unfriendly cities, items and dungeons, hidden easter eggs. Balance and tactical strategy/options were #1. Also very important was for the map to look nice and not 'boring' or plain. It is a nice looking map that plays well.
This map is ideally played with 2 players, but is equally fun in single player or 3 player.
The game has a 'main continent' on which the Humans spawn. All other races spawn around them, with each having their own specific domain (ex Lizards in a swamp, Goblins in a cave, etc). So even though only 3 races are playable, all are represented on the map.
There are 4 races on map:
-Humans (locked to AI)
The Elves and Halflings are meant to be played as a team against Humans primarily, and Orcs secondarily. Elves and Halflings spawn across the world from each other and have equal starting resources. The map is made so that as they reach the main continent of the Humans, they can join together and hold choke points against much larger human armies.
Humans spawn in the middle of the map and are set to be at war with every other race. They have huge advantage in starting resources, and grow to become much more powerful then the 3 other races, and the biggest threat on the map, especially as they buy up other neutral kingdoms.
Orcs spawn to the south of everyone and have better starting resources than Elves and Halflings, but have no allies (other than evil race kingdoms which they must first reach) and are to the only playable to the south of the humans. As such, they are a bit more of a challenge to play, and are more intended to be a secondary threat to human players playing as Elves/Halflings.
As mentioned, all races are on the map in the form of independent kingdoms. Elves, Halflings, and Orcs all spawn on their own continents with each having a Lizard, Frost, and Azrac castle. So by picking a neutral race and migrating the other cities to that one, you can make an ally of that independent race and buy up their kingdom, in addition to other natural allies. This helps alot against humans buying up all neutral races, which makes them even more powerful.
There are many secrets and small easter eggs in this map. I also warn you that many crypts are very hard but many will yield very good items specific to its region. (ex: crypts in frostling kingdom will drop frost items etc). There is alot of depth to this map, but not overwhelmingly so. There are no giant underground worlds, just a few tunnels, and maybe a small kingdom, and definitely a few secrets.

This map is really hard!!! but really fun, the humans are so strong. even the item dungeons are really hard
obviously the humans are extremely strong, but i like how the 3 other races are all equal, and same with the independant races
i really liked recruiting the other races independent kingdoms to fight with me. and i like how whoever kills the humans gets a bunch of items and dungeons to help clean up the map after
Map Design: 5
i like all the independent kingdoms, and i like how theirs a main continent thats big enough for all players to fight on but still lots of water. usually i dont like water maps but it was cool to build up an army and sail to the human continent plus the other two small continents
not really a story but i like the theme of underdogs fighting against the super powerful humans
one of my new favs.. reminds me of another favourite "banned" except that one its the highmen that are really strong
