Quote from the Book of old legends, chapter 471 :
"A time will come when nature's wrath will strike upon all people in the land of Melnor. Ice drakes shall come down from the cold mountains, Red dragons will rise from rivers of fire, Wyverns will fly out of the misty swamps, Golden dragons will descend from the sky and Black dragons will come out from the darkest of shadows."
To the people living in Melnor, this is not just a legend. It's the truth. Once a year the dragons fly into Melnor and feed upon the people living there. Even with security measures like special dragon-spotting towers and powerful ballistas, the dragons are hard to keep away from the cities.
As the elven king Bob, you have decided to use this years dragonstorm to your advantage. Your lifelong dream to be the one and only king of Melnor is about to come true....
But don't waste any more time! Get your spotters to the towers and arm your ballistas. It's time for the Dragonstorm!
Only elves are available for play.
Depths are used for triggers only.
Now this is a funny little map, I just played it through and thought it was quite amusing, if you have an hour or two left dont hestitate to play this one.
Playability: It was fun to play, incoming dragons were just many enough to stop me from attacking my other enemies in the first part of the game, I had to concentrate on defence since the economy isn't very good you need all income you can get. It's not really a map you play more than once if you dont want to beat it in less turns.
Balance: Dragons were just about as many to make it fun, the AI leaders were pretty tough to beat so I think it's good balanced.
Creativity: Well, what can I say, it has a hoch-key rink, that says it all! :)
Map design: Detailed and varied terrain, I like it.
Story/Instructions: Nice story, several textbubbles making the game even better.
Good job on this one Magog!

Eriksson pretty much summed it up. I enjoyed very much playing this highly witty map. It provides an adequate challenge and can be finished in two hours. It also has its share of laughs and nail-biting.
Against Eriksson's point of view, I found it a mediocre challenge after containing the Dragonstorm. Magog provided many tools to entirely tip the balance in the player's favor. Furthermore, the AI players weren't all that impressive. They probably would've been harder if they had external income and level 4 cities instead of level 3.
Nonetheless, this map is a must for AoW amateurs.
