It was a time of chaos. Various factions and races feuded and warred one with another. The supreme God Ilios grew tired of their prattling and took a piece of the discord that all the races of Aerthia had planted among each other and shaped a spear. He then threw this spear into the very heart of Aerthia. From this god-made spear of discord, grew the undead that spelled the doom of all the races. The God Ilios was not unkind however and has sent various Prophets, messengers even, to warn the people of Aerthia and prepare them against the doom that hath appeared upon the horizon and infested the ground beneath their feet.. Ye are one of these Prophets.
This is quite a fun map and was \"supposed\" to be first in a series. If enough people like it, I will make others. I am full of ideas ;) It was meant to be played single player first but you can play it multiplayer with no problem. You start as the humans.
This map was custom-made from scratch and these were all my own ideas and creations. It is highly replayable, has plenty of item-quests and each time I have played it was a new experience. Play it blind once ;) Then use the strategy guide if you have to. The Humans are the hardest to play but are extremely fun for the people who revel in a challenge. Don't get discouraged if you get smacked down in 5 rounds. I am the creator of the map and after leaving it for awhile, I came back and got smacked down in 5 rounds. Cheers!
A well designed map with alot of thought and effort put into it. Perhaps my AoW skill leaves a little to be desired, but I have had extreme difiiculty in suriving past turn 5, much less performing any great feats of bravery (as human that is). One suggestion might be to reduce (or eliminate) the numbers of Doompriests in the undead army, as it might give the Human a player some breathing room (and prevent them from loosing those precious swordsmen!).

This is a medium map, not XL.
Nicely balanced. Not much story.
The underground and depths are well dug out, and that's nice for people who like crawling in the underground for hours. I don't.
What makes this map really painful to play is the total lack of details, both on the surface and in the underground. I know placing out details is boring, but who wants to explore a map when all hexes look the same?
And why do I keep whining about this? Nobody seems to listen... :)
