Time to get serious...
We have a unique opportunity to influence the development of AoW3, so before you post your suggestions, please keep the following in mind (as echoed by developerSikbok , here):
Search the forums before making a new topic
To avoid repetition of topics, please check the forum if your suggestion/question has already been posted. If a suggestion has been posted, please add your support to that topic by posting something (even if it is just: "I agree"). This will make it clear to the devs that a particular topic is an important issue.
Post ONE idea or issue per topic
HG-boards do not limit the amount of topics, so please make several ones for each topic or suggestion. Try to group your suggestions if they do have a similar theme, of course (e.g., "Three important story elements we want to see in an AoW3 Campaign"). This allows subject headers to be more descriptive and developers to quickly find information on topics as well as assess its importance to the community. This prevents the development of those horrid, 'unreadable' AoW-suggestion threads that have several discussions embedded in them. Threads, like these, are generally a waste of time for developers to dig through.
Have a specific and clear subject header
Please DO NOT start your subject headers like: "important issues for AoW3!" or "Question!", as users won't be able to find the topics you care about. Instead, be as specific as you can.
Be patient and respectful
Do not assume that just because a developer doesn't respond to your topic that it hasn't been read, or that no one cares. Do not start making different topics with the same suggestion, or hijack other threads to get your idea out. Developers have better things to do than constanly answer questions on forums, or to justify decisions that are made. No response? Move on (or form a peaceful cult about it).
Be aware that the Moderators on this board may take actions to your post in accordance to the above mentioned guidelines, for example, we may:
- Change your subject header to make it clearer
- Close a topic if it has already been posted
- Warn members who are disrespectful
If you disagree with a decision of a moderator, please email them privately (preferred), or posthere publically.
