Trogg:
1. What is Twilight? Never heard of that.
2. You can always buy or create bracers of armor. They go up to +8 if I remember correctly.
3. There are a couple of spells that further enhance your AC if need to. Examples are Shield and Protection from evil, or you have a friendly cleric with shield of faith.
Not to forget stoneskin and improved invisibility, which work differently than increasing the AC but have the same effect, that is you getting less damage.
I think you could become quite powerful if you combine all those possibilities, so there is no need to improve mage armor...
Edit: And bards also have an arcane spell failure depending on their armor. And they can only cast bards spells! I have not found otherwise.. But maybe you want to enlighten me?
Kris: I just wanted to Say that Gizmo also has the benefits of both spells, as long as he stays within reach. (Not further than 5 feet or 1 square)
Chaos is ever-present, unavoidable, even necessary. Chaos is the way of time, the way of nature, the way of unthinking animals. Chaos will happen. But sentient, thinking beings do not need to help it along. Law is the effort of the civilized to slow chaos, to keep destruction at bay long enough so that thinking, dreaming, hoping, and loving can occur.
